“Connecting to the God of Everlasting Strength and All-Sufficient Power” – Isaiah 40:28–29

Isaiah begins this passage with two probing questions that confront every believer:

“Have you not known? Have you not heard?” (Isaiah 40:28)

These questions compel us to examine what we have truly come to know about God—not just what we have heard in passing, but what we have embraced personally.

Knowledge of God shapes:

Your trust

Your beliefs

Your confidence

Your response in seasons of weakness

Peter could boldly confess Jesus as the Christ (Matthew 16:16) because his knowledge came not from popular opinion but from personal revelation (Matthew 16:17).

General knowledge inspires. Personal knowledge transforms.

Isaiah reminds us that absolute power belongs to God (Psalm 62:11).

He is not a limited deity—He is the Everlasting God whose strength never diminishes.

Tonight, we connect to this unfailing God.

1.         The Everlasting God — Our Source of Unending Strength

“The everlasting God… neither faints nor is weary.” (Isaiah 40:28)

God’s strength is eternal because He Himself is eternal. His power cannot run out.

His ability cannot weaken. His faithfulness cannot expire. (Psalm 90:1–2; Revelation 1:8; Hebrews 13:8)

Because He is everlasting, His strength is everlasting.

Because His strength is everlasting, your strength can be renewed continually.

Reflection: Worship Him tonight for who He is the God whose strength never ends.

2.         The Creator of All Universe:

 The God of Unlimited Resources

“…The Creator of the ends of the earth…”

Creation reveals the unlimited capacity of God.

The One who designed the universe holds everything at His disposal.

Genesis 1:1; Psalm 24:1;

Jeremiah 32:17; Psalm 2:8; Jeremiah 33:3

If He created all things, then nothing you need lies outside His ability to provide. His sufficiency is total. His resources are inexhaustible.

3.         The God Who Never Fails in Strength

“…He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” (Isaiah 40:29)

Strength originates from God—and remains with God. He does not faint, so all who come to Him receive sustaining power.

1Samuel 2:9; Isaiah 40:31

Psalm 46:1

Our weakness is not a barrier; it is an invitation.

God’s strength is designed to work where human strength ends (2 Corinthians 12:9–10).

4.         The God of Unsearchable Wisdom

“…His understanding is unsearchable.” (Isaiah 40:28)

God’s wisdom is infinite, perfect, and far beyond human calculation. Romans 11:33; Job 12:13 — Wisdom and strength belong to Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trusting His wisdom brings divine direction.

The way God solves problems is often mysterious but always perfect.

His wisdom dismantles the foolishness of this world (1 Corinthians 1:25).
