WALKING IN THE THOUGHTS OF GOD FOR ALL-ROUND FULFILMEN – JEREMIAH 29:11; COLOSSIANS 3:1-2 (MSG)

INTRODUCTION

God has already declared his thoughts toward us in Jeremiah 29:11-thoughts of peace, hope, and a future. That’s the blueprint for all-round fulfilment.

But God’s plan only becomes our reality when we learn to walk in His thoughts.

Colossians 3:1-2 (MSG) tells us how we can walk in this thought of God for us:

1. Act in Line With God’s Thoughts

“act like it.” – Colossians 3:1.

▪︎ The life of Christ is a good and perfect life. It is God’s thought for us so act (live) like (you have) it.

2. Pursue Things That Activate God’s Thoughts

“Pursue things over which Christ presides”

Philippians 4:8.

Things that are True, Honest, Just, Pure, Lovely, Of good report, Virtuous, Praise-worthy.

3. Have The Right Focus

 “Don’t shuffle along…”

To Shuffle is to walk slowly by dragging or sliding your feet along the ground without fully lifting them (often due to fatigue, age, or laziness).

▪︎ Don’t drag yourself around ungrateful, unthankful, unmindful of the goodness of God.

“…with your eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you.”

▪︎ Don’t focus on yourself alone.

▪︎ Don’t focus on the things happening around you. Focus on your dream like Joseph.

▪︎ Don’t focus on the things on the ground- Colossians 3:2 (KJV). Prioritize things that have eternal value.

▪︎ Don’t be carried away or be terrified by things happening around you.

▪︎ Renew your mind (Romans 12:2).

“Look up”

Walking in God’s thoughts means lifting our gaze to His higher plan for total fulfilment (Psalm 121:1-2; Isaiah 55: 8-9)

“… be alert to what is happening around Christ.”

▪︎ Be sensitive to the perfect life where Christ reigns.

4. See Things From God’s Perspective

Isaiah 43:18-19

“Behold” (See; capture it)

Don’t see/consider the old, see the new.

▪︎ See what God is seeing

▪︎ Stop seeing the problem, see solution. See beyond obstacle (Exodus 14:15-16, 21-22; 1Samuel 17:33,36; Joshua 6:2,16; Genesis 41:40-41; 50:20).

▪︎ The moment you begin to see things from God’s perspective, you will live a peaceful and victorious life.

WHAT ARE YOU SEEING?

5. Release Your Heart for God’s Peace.

“.. thoughts of peace.” (Jeremiah 29;11)

God promised a perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3)

▪︎ You must submit the totality of your heart to God for you to experience and enjoy perfect peace.

▪︎ Don’t release any part of your heart for worry, anxiety, fear, or bitterness. You will not enjoy peace in those areas.

Peace does not necessarily mean absence of storm but seeing God’s presence in the midst of storm.

▪︎ Stay in the Word (Isaiah 59:19)  “…when the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of God will raise a standard against him.”

CONCLUSION

God’s thoughts toward us is already set: peace, hope, a future, and an all-round fulfilment. Our part is to walk in them.

Stop keeping your eyes to the ground. Look up to Christ, see from God’s perspective, and you will step into the fullness of God’s plan for your life.

PRAYER

Lord, renew my mind and shift my focus today. Help me to think Your thought, walk in Your path, and experience the all-round fulfilment You have planned for me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

RENEWED CONFIDENCE IN GOD’S COVENANT FOR DIVINE FULFILLMENT AND PERFORMANCE – Hebrews 10:22-25, 35-36

INTRODUCTION

Beloved in Christ,

Today marks the beginning of the second half of our prophetic journey in this Year of Walking into Divine Fulfilment and Performance.

For six months, God has been speaking to us through His Word. He declared, “I will hasten My Word to perform it.” (Jer. 1:12)

He assured us, “Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance…” (Luke 1:45).

Some among us have already seen God’s mighty hand. Others are still waiting. Some have become stronger, while others have quietly begun to ask, “Has God forgotten what He said?”

The answer is No! – God has not changed because the calendar has changed.

His covenant has not expired because six months have passed.

The God who spoke in January is still watching over His Word in July.

Therefore, this month is not about seeking another promise.

It is about renewing our confidence in the covenant already spoken.

The writer of Hebrews gives us six divine responsibilities that position every believer for Divine Fulfilment and Performance.

1. RECONNECT WITH GOD (Draw Near)

Hebrews 10:22: “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith…”

Every divine performance begins with God’s presence.

Before God performs outwardly, He first restores us inwardly.

Notice the progression: Draw near; True heart; Full assurance; Hearts sprinkled; Bodies washed; Confidence begins in God’s presence.

Many desire God’s promises but neglect intimacy with the Promiser.

God is calling His Church this month to return to Him—not casually, but sincerely.

Return in Prayer; Worship; Holiness; Consecration; Meditation upon His Word.

These are the atmosphere where confidence is renewed.

James says, “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.” (James 4:8).

The closer we come to God, the stronger our confidence becomes.

Before pursuing fulfilment, you have to pursue God.

Prayer Uproar 1

Father, restore my intimacy with You. Remove everything that has weakened my fellowship with You. Let my heart draw nearer to You this month, in Jesus’ Name.

2. RECALL THE COVENANT (Hold Fast His Word)

Hebrews 10:23: “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering: (for He is faithful that promised;)”

This is the heartbeat of our monthly theme. God’s Word is far more than mere written words.

His promises are covenant-backed declarations; They are the compass for our journey throughout 2026.

Paul declares, “For all the promises of God in Him are Yea, and in Him Amen.” (2 Cor. 1:20).

Joshua testified, “There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken…” (Joshua 21:45). Not one promise failed.

The greatest battle is often not that God forgets His covenant, but that we forget what He has spoken.

Therefore, Recall His Word. Meditate upon it. Declare it. Pray it. Live by it.

When fear speaks— Recall the covenant.

When delay speaks— Recall the covenant.

When men speak contrary words— Recall the covenant.

God’s covenant must become louder than your circumstances.

Confidence grows through continual exposure to God’s Word.

Romans 10:17 reminds us: “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

Prayer Uproar 2

Father, let every promise You have spoken concerning my life become alive again in my spirit. I receive renewed confidence in Your covenant, in Jesus’ Name.

3. REINFORCE THE COVENANT COMMUNITY (Consider One Another & Remain in Fellowship)

Hebrews 10:24-25: One striking truth in this passage is that confidence is never meant to be sustained in isolation.

The writer immediately says,

“Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…”

God designed the Christian life to flourish within the fellowship of believers.

Faith grows where believers encourage one another.

Confidence is strengthened where God’s people worship together.

Isolation breeds discouragement. Fellowship nurtures perseverance.

The local church is God’s covenant community, where believers are strengthened through worship, prayer, the ministry of the Word, mutual encouragement, service, stewardship, generosity, and thanksgiving.

As Baptists, we affirm the importance of the gathered church as Christ’s body, where believers grow together in faith and obedience- Ephesians 4:11-13

This verse also prepares us for the pathways we shall study in the coming months—service, stewardship, giving, gratitude, prayer, fasting, and faithful participation in God’s mission.

Application

Remain planted. Remain committed. Remain available. Remain accountable.

Prayer Uproar 3

Father, establish me in Your house. Make me a source of encouragement to others, and surround me with believers who strengthen my faith, in Jesus’ Name.

4. RESIST CONTRARY REALITIES (Cast Down Every Contrary Voice)

One responsibility of every believer is to resist every voice that contradicts God’s covenant.

Jesus said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” (John 10:10).

Before Satan steals your blessing, he first attacks your confidence.

Abraham never denied reality. His body was old.

Sarah’s womb was barren. Yet he placed God’s promise beside the facts.

Romans says, “Who against hope believed in hope…” (Romans 4:18-21).

Faith does not deny facts; Faith gives God’s Word the final authority.

Jesus overcame Satan repeatedly with one declaration: “It is written.” Matthew 4: 4,7,10

Likewise, “Every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” (Isaiah 54:17).

Some reports must be rejected.  Some fears must be silenced.

Some imaginations must be cast down (2 Cor. 10:4-5).

God’s covenant-backed Word knocks out contrary realities.

Confidence silences the devil; Confidence shuts the mouths of critics.

Confidence keeps the believer focused until fulfilment comes.

Prayer Uproar 4

Every voice of fear, delay, impossibility, failure, sickness, and discouragement speaking against God’s covenant over my life, I silence you today by the authority of God’s Word, in Jesus’ Name.

5. REMAIN IN GOD’S PROCESS (Do Not Cast Away Your Confidence)

Hebrews 10:35-36: The writer now gives one final warning.

“Cast not away therefore your confidence…”

Why?    Because confidence has great reward.

Many people lose the miracle just before the manifestation.

God’s promises often travel through God’s process.

Hebrews says, “After ye have done the will of God…”

Notice the order:   Obedience = Patience = Endurance = Then Promise.

No one bypasses God’s process.

Abraham waited; Joseph endured the pit and the prison.

David passed through the wilderness;  Jesus passed through suffering before glory.

Sometimes God’s process resembles the furnace.

Sometimes the refiner’s fire.

Sometimes the quarry where stones are shaped.

Sometimes the incubation period before life emerges.

Do not short-circuit God’s process.  Shortcuts may produce temporary success.

Only God’s process produces lasting fulfilment.

Habakkuk reminds us, “Though it tarry, wait for it…” (Habakkuk 2:3).

God is preparing both the promise and the person.

Prayer Uproar 5

Father, grant me grace to trust Your process, endure patiently, and never exchange Your perfect will for temporary alternatives, in Jesus’ Name.

6. RECEIVE GOD’S PERFORMANCE (The Reward of Renewed Confidence)

Everything now reaches its climax.

Confidence is not the destination. Performance is.

Elizabeth declared, “Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance…”

Jeremiah reminds us, “I am watching over My Word to perform it.”

Isaiah declares, “So shall My Word be… it shall not return unto Me void.” (Isaiah 55:11).

Paul concludes, “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it…” (Phil. 1:6).

Renewed confidence always precedes divine fulfilment.

Fulfilment and Performance are the inevitable products of unwavering confidence in God’s covenant.

God has not brought us this far to abandon us.

The God who began this journey in January will surely complete it before the year ends.

CONCLUSION

Beloved, if we will walk these six pathways, we shall experience God’s performance.

  • Reconnect with God.
  • Recall His Covenant.
  • Reinforce Covenant Community.
  • Resist Contrary Realities.
  • Remain in God’s Process.
  • Receive God’s Performance.

As we begin this new month, let this truth echo in our hearts:

“God has not changed His Word; therefore, we must not change our confidence in Him.”

The God who spoke in January is still watching over His Word in July, and before this year comes to an end, there shall be a performance of every good word He has spoken concerning AyoBello Memorial Baptist Church and every believer who continues to trust Him.

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised.” (Hebrews 10:23).

Congregational Declaration

“Today, I renew my confidence in God’s covenant.

I choose to draw nearer to Him, hold fast to His promises, remain committed to His Church, resist every contrary voice, endure His process, and patiently await His performance.

I declare that every word God has spoken concerning my life, my family, and AyoBello Memorial Baptist Church shall surely come to pass. Before this year ends, there shall be a performance, to the glory of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

HOLDING FAST TO GOD’S WORD AND OATH FOR DIVINE FULFILLMENT – HEBREWS 6:18

INTRODUCTION

God doesn’t just promise. He seals His promise with an oath so that our faith has a solid foundation. When God speaks AND swears, delay and doubt are cancelled. Knowing and believing this fact is fundamental to our confidence in God’s covenant.

UNDERSTANDING HEBREWS 6:18

“That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.”

What Are The “Two Immutable Things” of God?

1. God’s Word/His Promise

God cannot lie. Once He speaks, it will stand.

Numbers 23:19 – “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent…”

2. God’s Oath

To confirm His promise, God also swore an oath. An oath makes it legally binding (Hebrews 6:13,16,17).

▪︎ Because these 2 things cannot change, we can have _“strong consolation”_ and _“full assurance of hope” (Hebrews 6:18-19).

▪︎ Our confidence can therefore rest on this: God’s Word + God’s Oath = Guaranteed Fulfillment.

3 FOUNDATIONS OF OUR CONFIDENCE IN GOD’S COVENANT

1. The Covenant With Abraham – Covenant Of Multiplication (Genesis 22:16-18; Hebrews 6:13-14)

God’s Word: “I will bless you and multiply your descendants” (Genesis 22:17)

God’s Oath: “By myself have I sworn…” (Genesis 22:16)

Fulfillment: Isaac was born, Israel became a nation.

▪︎ Personal Application: God will multiply me, my family, my business, my ministry… this month in Jesus’ name.

2. The Covenant With David – Covenant Of Establishment (2 Samuel 7:12-16, Psalm 89:35)

God’s Word: I will establish your throne forever” (2 Samuel 7:16)

God’s Oath: “Once I have sworn by my holiness…”_(Psalm 89:35)

Fulfillment: Preserved until Jesus, the King forever.

▪︎ Personal Application: God will establish my career, home, and destiny. Nothing will scatter it in Jesus’ name.

3. The Covenant In Christ – Covenant Of Performance (Hebrews 7:21-22; Hebrews 8:10-12)

God’s Word:I will put my laws in their hearts… forgive their sins”_(Hebrews 8:10,12)

God’s Oath: “The Lord sware… You art a priest forever”_(Hebrews 7:21)

Fulfillment: Jesus is our guarantee of a better covenant (Hebrews 7:22)

▪︎ Believers’ Application: We don’t just have promises. We have the Spirit to help us perform them. (Philippians 2:13)

HOW TO HOLD FAST THIS MONTH

1. Remember the Word (Psalm 103:17)

2. Declare the Word (Romans 10:17)

3. Act in Faith (James 2:17)

4. Thank God in Advance (Mark 11:24)

CONCLUSION

Because God cannot lie and cannot break His oath, we can have renewed confidence that what He said will come to pass and He will empower us to perform it.

PRAYER POINTS

1. By God’s Word and Oath, every promise of God for my life shall be fulfilled this month in Jesus’ name (Isa 43:26)

2. I cast away every spirit of doubt from me. I renew my confidence in God in Jesus’ name (Heb 10:23)

3. I receive multiplication in every area of my life like Abraham in Jesus’ name (Gen. 22:17)

4. I declare that my work and destiny is established like David in Jesus’ name (2 Sam 7:16)

5. I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to perform God’s will in my life this month in Jesus’ name. (Phil 2:13)
